verbal communication
1. What is
‘paralinguistics’/paralanguage?
2. How important is
non-verbal communication such as gestures,glances,tone of voice,dressing,etc?Is
it possible that we may be conveying the wrong message to someone?Can
miscommunication occur?
3. Are non verbal
communication culture bound?Give a few examples to show how certain
gestures,body language,etc can be offensive in some cultures.
4. Try this using a different
tone of voice each time,’I’m here…’explain the different messages conveyed
through the different tone of voice.
5. Proxemics –the distance
our bodies are.Is keeping to a certain distance important when communicating
with someone?When you are in the lift,do you tend to look down or look up at
