ReplyDeleteactually from this self evaluation,i learnt that where did i made my mistakes and why i lose marks....now i understood why sometimes i did good but i get low marks...basically this system help us to correct our mistakes rather than blaming teachers who give low marks....thank u mam....this system is really helpful for us...

Deletefirstly, i would like to thank ms. sarada because giving us the opportunity to mark our own test paper. for me, i believe that this method would be helpful for us. It is because during the test we will not be aware of what we are writing about. therefore, this chance will make us to aware about the mistakes that we have done. Not only that, it will also enable us to re correct the mistakes and do it in a better way.
ReplyDeletehahahahaah the best part would be when you giving marks for your own paper.. usually, as a student we will complain and blame the teachers why we were given such a low marks??? it's usually will become the hot issue once the test paper's given in the class.. most of the student's will say that i deserve to get that marks and so on.. however, now since you are going to evaluate your paper's as teacher, i think for sure you know what exactly you are going to get. it is because you've already knew which part you've done your mistakes and so on.
the advantage from self-evaluation test is we as a student's should not rush when answering the question paper's. maybe, for this time we will be given the opportunity to mark our own test paper's and find the error's that have done by us.. but guys just for the exam we only have one chance. DO NOT REPEAT THE SAME MISTAKES IN YOUR EXAM...give relevant answers and the most important things is do no vomit exactly the notes in your answer sheet.. it is because Ms. Sarada do not like this.. am i correct Ms. sarada?????
a full supporter for this self evaluation marking system. from here, i learnt to read back what i had written and eventually new ideas might flow in and improve the piece. i also learnt that when i checked that myself did not actually copy and paste,instead,i changed the sentence structure or construct sentences in my own words,i am proud of my deed. however, that is merely impossible to get information totally by your ideas only, references are very much needed as they are facts and reliable sources that help us to improve and make us think. thank you Ms Sarada for this opportunity. =)

From my personal opinion, i think self evaluation marking system would be so helpful for me to make a self-improvement. From this, i have an opportunity to detect the mistake that i have done because i won't realize it at the time i answer it and from this evaluation I recognize my own strengths and my weakness because I can detect where the mistake that I have done. So, we won't blame the teachers if we got a low marks. From this self evaluation also we got the change to be honestly evaluate ourselves. This is also will be a good revision for us because we will read again our answer and from this...whatever mistake that we have done we won't repeat it again in our final exam....Thanks a lot to Miss Sarada for this oppurtunity..^.^’
ReplyDeleteit seemed to be rather interesting, evaluating ourselves for our exam. it shows our self confidence level as well. besides that, it helps in recall what we have covered in the test. i guess this is one of the way to make the study to be efficient. credit to madam for giving us such a special experience. seriously, i never try this before

Self-evaluation can be a learning experience for all of us. It encourages us to be fair on our work and take responsibility. it enables us to see the value of identifying our own mistakes shortly after making them. “You learn more when you find out what you did right or wrong.” thank you for applying this system in our class mam.. ;)

ReplyDeleteHi, Not bad good idea... I realize something after i mark my own paper. When i see the short paragraph i feel like giving very less mark while for the long paragraph I give more marks.. One part mdm correct me. I guess this method is really good , because it shows our level of understanding and also I learn the how to give points based on the marks given for each Question.. Hopefully i don't stress you anymore mam.. hehehehehhe
ReplyDeleteit was something new because i evaluate my work on my own and i got to be honest at the same time.hehehe. at 1 part i was confused how many marks to allocate to that particular question because my plagiarize was just 4 to 5 words.i do not know how much mark do i need to cut hahaha.hopefully i dun repeat the same mistake i did.hehehe..

I think that self evaluation is quite good idea because we were given the chances to mark our own paper and at the same time to be honest in judging our work..

To me i feel that self evaluation actually give us a chance of correcting our mistakes, besides that it also opens an opportunity of learning in adding and subtracting point. We are able to learn on giving priority to the points.

self evaluation? honestly,it is so interesting for me.because we can know which level our thinking and answer skills.we also can know where is our mistake in answering paper and improvise it.what should we do and don't in answering.self evaluation completely teach us to know deeply about how the marking system.then,if the student know well the system,it will help student score this subject and be more understand what are the skills to tackle any questions.hurmmm..madam,can i mark my final exam paper by myself? can laaa...hehe.

ReplyDeleteDear Maam, sorry for the delay in replying on this topic in the blog. In my personal opinion according to the topic as it's mention above, i would like to state that self-evaluation marking system technique is good because it helps me to realize where are my mistakes is done. this helps all the students to know the mistakes they have done and how to overcome that mistakes to be avoiding themselves to repeat it back again. this marking skills can make a student to be honest to apply the marks they should deserve in this way if they don't get what they deserve they can automatically know where was their initial mistake they did and can correct themselve. To me maam, i don't wish to get very high marks if i didn't study well, as long as i know i did my best I'm happy with the marks i get. if i didn't do well i will make sure i check my mistakes and do the best next time. This method is a very good way to help us to be prepared to score our subject in the test nor the exams. Thank you for introducing us this methods in class Madam ! :)

ReplyDeleteSelf evaluation is a kind of new thing for me as i've never done it before this, and never expect that this could be done!
Other than giving us the chance to detect our own mistakes, this way also leads us to be more creative in reconstructing the sentences other than simply copy everything from the references.

i was absent but i got the news from my fellow friends.this is so much better than being confuse all the time and asking other friends what is the exact answer and bla bla bla.i love self evaluating actually.this is because, if at all i get my papers marked by lectures, i'll be like "oh damn ,how come i'm wrong here,eh eh what's the answer..." but if i can mark my own papers," i'll be like ,damn! it's suppose to be this,i thought so,ok make sure remember!!!!"

First of all, i would like to ask for forgiveness for a very late response. Well, as for me, self-evaluation was a like a big bang on my head looking at my own answer sheet and now i know why lecturers crack their head n get boiled at one point looking at their students answer sheet. i did not crap and copy paste my answers but i did manage to look through my petty mistakes that i have made n indeed helped me improvise my work and my ideas flowed in points that i could add in. Evaluating my own work for me was like giving me the inside depth of the quality of my wrk. this helps me realise on what should i write and what should not be written in order to produce quality answers. On top of that, it has put some some sense on us students, that plagiarism or the copy paste culture that the student inherit is not going to bring me any further but to the path of failure as there are no any initiave can be seen and no knowledge is gained through that. Thanks a bunch madam..=)
